Introduction and March Party

Bringing the Haverford community in DC together

Greetings all, I’m Michael Tint (‘12, sort of). Prior to Covid, there were regular events for Haverford alumni to get together, and I’m trying to revive that tradition. I’m working with the Haverford alumni office, but my hope is that this ends up being a thoroughly bi-co affair. You’re getting this email because it was provided by the alumni office, if you’d rather not get any more, you can unsubscribe below.

The point of this mailing list is to be a community resource for Fords in DC for networking, community building, and just plain having a good time with interesting people. My plan is to start organizing regular events at least quarterly, and to help and encourage others to do so as well. If anyone has any opportunities, messages, ideas, or anything else they’d like to communicate to the community, please let me know. I’m sure I’m not the only one interested in this sort of project.

We had a holiday party a few months ago, and a good time was had by all. The next event, which you might have seen in the official alumni newsletter, will be March 22. It’s at 7pm, and the address is 1002 N Street NW, DC, 20001. It’s 2 blocks from the Mount Vernon Square Metro stop, and 6 from Metro Center. There’s usually plenty of street parking available, but if not, the gas station at 1317 9th Street will cheaply sell you a spot. If you have nay trouble, you can call or text me at 415-321-9669.

Like the holiday party, it will be a casual affair with good conversation and interesting people. Drinks and snacks will be served, and potlucking is strongly encouraged. RSVPs are not required, but they’re definitely helpful, especially if you’re planning on bringing a dish. You can RSVP by sending a reply to this email with “Haverparty RSVP” in the text. Hope to see you all there!
